First Bank of Ohio was established in 1873 and was formerly known as The Tiffin Savings Bank. In 1987 the bank changed its name to First Bank of Ohio. At the time it had offices in Tiffin and Bloomville in Seneca County, Ohio.
Today we operate five branches across the state — Tiffin, Bloomville, Marietta, Belpre and Mt. Vernon — and we are still owned by the same communities we serve. Every loan decision is made locally, and every dollar deposited goes back to work for the neighborhoods around us.
We believe banking should feel a little less like an app and a little more like a handshake. That is the promise we have kept for 150+ years, and the standard we hold ourselves to every day.
